| Rice and Cabbage Stew | |

1/2 cabbage, chopped 1 bunch green onions, chopped 1/4 -- 1/2 lb ground beef or turkey (optional) 3/4 C rice 8 oz can tomato sauce |
1 T parsley flakes 1 t paprika 1 C beef or vegetable broth 2 C water splash cider vinegar salt and pepper to taste |

Put all ingredients but meat in the saucepan and simmer until the rice is cooked. Meanwhile, brown the meat in another pan. Add to stew and simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavor to get into the meat. |
