Rice and Cabbage Stew
1/2 cabbage, chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1/4 -- 1/2 lb ground beef or turkey (optional)
3/4 C rice
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 T parsley flakes
1 t paprika
1 C beef or vegetable broth
2 C water
splash cider vinegar
salt and pepper to taste

Put all ingredients but meat in the saucepan and simmer until the rice is cooked.

Meanwhile, brown the meat in another pan. Add to stew and simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavor to get into the meat.
